Explore the rich history of tea and its surprising impact on the world as early as the 1600s. This lecture examines how tea shaped England, the East India Company, and colonial America, touching on the Townshend Revenue Act, the Tea Act of 1773, and the iconic Boston Tea Party. We’ll also delve into the Intolerable Acts, smuggling, and the waves of technological, and agricultural innovation sparked by a simple cup of whole-leaf tea.
