This mild and pleasant green tea is sometimes referred to as Sushi tea. It consists of the smaller leaves that are left behind after producing high quality gyokuro or sencha teas, giving it similar health benefits of those more expensive teas. The liquor is bright green with a strong vegetal green flavor reminiscent of Japanese green tea. Since these are small leaves they can be more bitter. To avoid bitterness, we recommend steeping 1 teaspoon of tea at 140 degrees for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This tea is also delicious iced!
