Kenyan Purple Tea
This green, unoxidized and slightly withered purple leaf tea is a natural cultivar of the Camellia Sinensis, Assamica varietal. It is grown at a 6000+ ft. elevation at the Kenyan equator. The leaves are purple because they contain the super antioxidant, Anthocyanins. These are the same antioxidants that make other plants purple: like blueberries, pomegranates, and acai berries. This high quality, ethical, fair-trade tea is non-GMO and pesticide/chemical free. It produces a light purple infusion with a crisp and clean, savory floral flavor.
