Jade Oolong Premium Grade

This rolled, spring harvest oolong from the 7,000 foot famous Alishan Mountains of Taiwan is superb! It is a very lightly oxidized (11-18%) tea that has had a short outdoor withering (8-12 hours) with a short primary drying process. When steeped, this deep green large leaf tea offers a fresh fruity aroma. The liquor is a pale green that tastes like sweet melon with a floral finish that lingers on.

Gyokuro

This is an exceptional tea with the smooth balance of a lightly sweet green tea with a rich aroma. In Japan, these plants are shaded during the final stages of growing. This causes a higher chlorophyll content giving the final leaf a deep green color. A uniquely special tea, it is sometimes referred to as a dessert tea, or a celebratory tea.

Dragonwell Pre-Qing Ming – First Grade

Posted on:

This tea is harvested in early spring, before the Qingming Festival (tomb sweeping holiday) and before the ‘spring’ teas. It is the first harvest of the year and is considered the highest grade and quality of Dragonwell tea. It is harvested in the village of Lung Ching in the Zhejiang Province of China. These hand-flattened, yellow-green leaves have a fantastic aroma that is distinct to the Dragonwell teas. Dragonwell Pre-Qing Ming has a delightful chestnut flavor that is sweet with a clean smooth character and lingering flavor. There is no bitter aftertaste or astringency and is not grassy like other green teas. This will quickly become your favorite Dragonwell tea!

Dong Ding

Posted on:

This fabulous, carefully hand-picked oolong tea from Mount Dong Ding in Nantou, Taiwan is sometimes also referred to as Tung Ting. The baking of this tea (also referred to as roasting the tea) makes it slightly more oxidized with a nutty sweetness. This additional baking process is complicated and fairly new. It gives the tea a distinctly sweet honey, toasty taste and a captivating, fruity aroma, leaving you craving for more. This tea is known as one of the jewels of Taiwan.

Black Pearl

Posted on:

These beautifully exquisite black pearls come from the Yunnan province of China, the area that is believed to be the birthplace of tea. The infusion produces a rich and smooth depth of flavor that is well-balanced. It has a slight sweetness with subtle earthy tones and cocoa notes. These pearls have little bitterness or astringency. Only two pearls are needed for each infusion, and you can re-steep them several times.

Bao Zhong

This highly prized and sought after Formosa (Taiwan) oolong is often referred to as the “most prestigious” or “reserve grade” tea for its exquisite beauty and complex layered flavors. This cultivar is Chin Sin, meaning “purified or cleansed heart oolong.” This spring harvest from the Pinglin District of Taiwan is processed with a minimum of rolling and drying. This results in the freshly picked long emerald green leaves to be lightly oxidized (approx. 10%), and produces an exceptional cup. The infusion is light bodied with lush buttery flavors with a lively, dynamic character. The aroma is gracefully aromatic and is similar to fresh honeysuckle. This varietal is easily identified by its delicacy and lingering fragrance and sweetness.

The deep golden-green infusion is very silky with a pronounced creamy-buttery-sweet character to the flavor. This premium tea will yield multiple delicious infusions!
