Fall
Holiday Sale and Events! |
|
It's been a few months since our last newsletter and
there's so much to catch up on! We had a fantastic
turnout at our Summer Garden Gathering, and we are
grateful to all of you for attending. We had
wonderful feedback from our guests and many requests
for the date of our next gathering
(see below!). I'd personally like
to thank our long-time customers and those who are
just learning about our products and
services. Being a member of the
3/50 Project helps us to spread
the word about the small businesses in our community
who survive because of you and your choice to buy
from us. Know that we strive to make it a
great experience for you!
Those of us in New England recently experienced
the coming of winter with white snow blanketing
the ground as the fall foliage struggled to hang
on to the trees. It's hard to believe I was in
the temperate rain forests of Sri
Lanka and India not
too long ago!
I was invited by Pearl Dexter, editor of
'Tea A Magazine' to join her
along with three of my friends and collegues in
the tea industry. (see the October issue of her
magazine to see a wonderful four page story of our
trip) From the rolling hills and mountains of the
tea fields in Sri Lanka, to the spectacular
beautiful blue mountains of the Nilgiris we had
the opportunity to learn tea growing from some of
the major tea estate owners in these countries.
From all the estates we visited, we
learned different varieties of tea harvesting and
processing in the factories. In each of them, the
estate owners educated us on the importance
of caring for their workers, and sustainability of
their estates and the bordering rain forests. The
picturesque landscapes and warm friendly people
everywhere we went made it easy to love these
countries! To view a short story of my trip, click
HERE. I will be posting
photos to our web site, and a new lecture on
the tea lands of Sri Lanka and India will be
coming soon.
With the changing weather, comes a change in our
foods and beverages. We have sold out
of our summer teas, but our fall teas are ready!
Don't forget to stock up on your favorite fall
teas,
Pumpkin Spice,
The Cozy Tea Cart Spice, and
Almond Cookie to name a
few!

see the winner!! I highly encourage any high school
senior this year to start thinking about
entering this scholarship competition for next
year!
We will be participating in
many more EVENTS in
the coming months, including our "Health
Benefits of Tea" class at the Amherst
Family Chiropractic Center scheduled for this
coming Monday, October 26th. Please contact Allison
Anneser, Certified Health Counselor,

And speaking of health benefits, make yourself a cup
of tea and read this
recent health article published
in Britain on how tea can reduce the stress in
our lives. With the holidays right around the
corner, it's the perfect time to take that moment
for a healthy cup of tea!
