VOTE FOR MISS NH
Miss NH, Rachel Barker, was kind enough to donate an entire day of her time for

Jordan's Walk,

a walk-a-thon to benefit the

this past fall.  The Coffey Family and staff involved are sincerely grateful to her. It was evident to all that Rachel's kindness was genuine. Her dedication to greet every

was remarkable! To thank her for her kindness, we are asking our readers to 'pay it forward', by voting here for

Greetings from The Cozy Tea Cart,

We hope all our customers enjoyed a beautiful and restful holiday season. During these times, we enjoy the special moments spent with family and friends, knowing that they will soon become fond memories.

After celebrating the New Year, we can't help but feel fatigued from the travel and holiday parties and have that daily remembrance of the resolution we made--to begin a healthful diet.   Well why not?  It's a new year and a time for new beginnings--to turn over a new leaf.

With all the media coverage on the health benefits of tea, making tea part of our healthy diet makes perfect sense!  And why not begin in January, "National Hot Tea Month"? Tea is the largest antioxidant-rich beverage drink we can benefit from in our diet.  These antioxidants, a variety of phenols, have gone through extensive studies and have shown to help with heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer, the signs and effects of aging, stress, protection from tooth decay and fatigue.

So which tea should you drink?  The studies suggest drinking 3-4 cups of tea a day to get the maximum health benefit.  All tea comes from the same plant, Camellia sinensis.  It is the processing of the tea that gives us the different varieties of tea, Black, Oolong, Green and White.  The antioxidant levels in these teas only vary slightly, so we suggest you drink whichever tea you like the most to gain the maximum benefit.

And who says you can't have variety in your teas?  You don't drink the same type of juice all day, so why not treat yourself to a morning black, mid-day oolong, afternoon green and evening white tea?  Oh, just think of the fun you could have in sampling new teas!  Visit our tea selection here, and start off to a healthy 2008.
