Greetings to The Cozy Tea Cart's Newsletter members,

After this unseasonably cold, snowy, and rainy April, I think we have finally entered into spring!  In April, I had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a Japanese Tea Ceremony Demonstration at Ikebana Flower, in Nashua, NH.  Owner, Antoinette Drouart, is a certified teacher of Ikebana Japanese flower arranging.  She hosted Sensei William Thrasher, a tea master from the Urasenke School. The tea ceremony offered a wonderful introduction to the beauty of traditional Japanese culture, a short history of the tea ceremony, while Sensei showed the guests through all the steps for making a bowl of Japanese tea.  The demonstration was both educational and peaceful.  Check their website for further details on up-coming Japanese Tea Ceremonies, and the variety of Japanese flower arranging classes offered at the Ikebana Flower shop!

If you enjoy flowers and gardening, I’m sure you are frantically trying to clean out your gardens before the flowers start to blossom.  I hope you can find the time to sip a cup of tea while enjoying the beauty and scents of the flowering pear, apple and cherry trees and the tiny pink, white and purple phlox bursting into bloom!  And speaking of blooms, this month for Mother’s Day and next month for our Summer Open House Gathering, we will be featuring our NEW Blooming Teas!  What better way to enjoy the beauty nature has to offer than with a pot of Chinese Silver Needle tea buds, abundant in antioxidants and beautiful flowers that bloom into amazing floral bouquets!

I’m pleased to convey that the spring clean-up of  the gardens surrounding The Cozy Tea Cart have been raked and pruned and they have already begun to blossom!  Stop by on June 2nd for our Summer Open House Gathering between 10:00 and 4:00 and take a stroll through the gardens.  There will be food and tea to sample, local artists and authors to visit with, our favorite chef, Liz Barbour of The Creative Feast who will be doing cooking demonstrations infused with The Cozy Tea Cart’s tea, and Jared Rocco entertaining us with his jazz music.  Take the time for yourself before the rush of your summer schedule sets in.
