Marilene Sawaf, jeweler
Made with
Fimo clay and fired in the oven, Marilene's jewelry tries to
recapture the spirit of her paintings.
She plays with the clay till she gets the color scheme that
she
wants. She places the colors on the clay as she would use the
paint on a canvas Then she cooks the piece and paint on it
with acrylics.
The clay pieces have all kind of themes ranging from birds
to fish and women and cat theme she enjoys experimenting with
a different medium. When the pieces are too big to be
hanging around the neck, she frames them by using colorful
and eclectic frames with hand painted, acid free paper as
a background.
