First-ever statewide touring and
shopping event
Veterans’ Day Weekend -- November
8-9, 2008
Concord,
NH –This Veterans’
Day Weekend (November 8-9), discover the natural beauty,
timeless traditions, and craft heritage of New Hampshire during
NH Open Doors, the first-ever statewide touring and shopping
event. New Hampshire residents and visitors of all ages are
invited to take a self-guided tour of the working studios of
artists and craftspeople, distinctive shops and galleries filled
with New Hampshire-made products and artwork, and roadside
farmstands and orchards, among other attractions. It’s a great
opportunity to start holiday shopping, sample local foods and
beverages, and experience the state’s varied cultural
attractions. Participating restaurants, hotels, inns, and
bed-and-breakfast establishments are offering special dining and
lodging packages for guests during this weekend.

features information about the event and an interactive map that
lists participating craftspeople, wineries, restaurants, retail
shops, lodging establishments, and other attractions by region.
Each listing has a description of what each participant will be
offering, and a custom-designed Google map that will indicate
the location of each participant and provide detailed driving
directions. The Cozy Tea Cart of Brookline, NH (www.TheCozyTeaCart.com)
will be participating in this event. They will be sampling
their specialty blended teas, and tea-infused products, some of
which are their decadent Chocolate created by Swan’s Chocolates
of Merrimack, and infused with The Cozy Tea Cart’s tea, their
tea-infused Swiss Caramels and tea-infused nut-free honey
cookies.
The League of NH
Craftsmen and New Hampshire Made have organized and are managing
this event with promotional assistance from numerous art, craft,
and business organizations throughout the state. Lead sponsors
are the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism (www.visitnh.gov)
and Margarita’s Mexican restaurants, with locations throughout
