Action, adventure and romance are found in New Hampshire author, Marty Young Stratton's series of novels. In the first book, Angel on the Great Medicine Trail, the reader travels with the Harrington family on the Oregon Trail in 1851. The family is accompanied a seasoned guide, an  unscrupulous bounty hunter and his mysterious prisoner. They encounter bears, snakes, thieves and their own true natures.

In the fall of 1851 the Harringtons stagger into the home of their uncle, Doctor Daniel Harrington. And in Her Father's Laugh Angela is reunited with Rory. If they are to have a future together they have obstacles to overcome. Rory must find the will and strength to recover and they both must learn there is strength in trusting others, that life is not a war of them against the world.

In the third book of the series Angela and Rory face new dangers and adventures as they start their home and family while contending with life on the frontier.
