From June, 2004
- June, 2006,
The Cozy Tea Cart
formed a supervised recreation room
for Brookline and Hollis teens in grades 7-9. It was located
in the private room above the Brookline Village Store. The
intent was to provide a safe, non-alcoholic setting to the
youth of Brookline and Hollis, where they could participate in
pool and ping pong or watch a movie on the large screen TV.
The Rec was
open one Friday evening per month (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm) for
teens in grades 7-9 and was sponsored by
The Cozy Tea Cart. There
were over 100 children registered in The Rec, and during it's
running time, it experienced unanticipated success.
