From June, 2004 - June, 2006, The Cozy Tea Cart formed a supervised recreation room for Brookline and Hollis teens in grades 7-9.   It was located in the private room above the Brookline Village Store.  The intent was to provide a safe, non-alcoholic setting to the youth of Brookline and Hollis, where they could participate in pool and ping pong or watch a movie on the large screen TV.

The Rec was open one Friday evening per month (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm) for teens in grades 7-9 and was sponsored by The Cozy Tea Cart.  There were over 100 children registered in The Rec, and during it's running time, it experienced unanticipated success.

Click here to read the May 7, 2004 Hollis Brookline Journal article about The Rec.  The PDF file is approximately 0.9 megs, so please be patient as it downloads.  PDF documents are viewed in free Adobe Reader.
