Danielle Beaudette,
proprietor of The Cozy Tea
Cart, has been selling high quality teas for a
number of years. She has researched the history of tea and tea
wares for over a decade. Danielle has a special interest in
the history of tea and its ceremonies, and considers herself a
“student” in her quest for knowledge on tea. She is
continually doing research on tea in an effort to stay up to
date with the current demands. As a Specialty Tea Institute
member, Danielle receives regular industry reports, and has
access to a number of the tea industry’s information sources.
In her mission to continually
broaden her education, Danielle has completed all levels of
the US Specialty Tea Institutes (STI) Certification programs
that are currently offered. In these programs, Danielle was
trained in the processes of tea production; the
classifications of tea; different leaf styles, characteristics
and origins; and different cupping methods. The Level III:
Professional Training offered Danielle an in depth look at the
specialty black teas of China, India, Sri Lanka as well as
other origins and their grades. The tea tastings she
participated in helped her to focus on comparative
characteristics, flavor profiles, and the assets and defects
to be aware of when tasting teas.
Danielle also regularly
attends the World Tea Expo where she has participated in over
30 educational seminars. Here, she also has met tradesmen in
the industry from around the world. The invaluable information
she received from the seminars and tradesman provided her with
insights on the current trends of the tea industry, knowledge
of the latest studies on the health benefits of tea and a
better understanding of how to manage a tea business. Not
only did she make some wonderful personal contacts, but she
was able to meet and speak with some of the leaders in the tea
industry.
The tea industry has grown tremendously
since early 1990 and the trend continues upward. Newspapers
contain numerous articles referring to tea rooms across the
country and in Europe. These articles have referred to tea as
becoming the new desired beverage as a result of its health
benefits. The tea sold by The Cozy
Tea Cart is of exceptional quality, and our
customers get the added bonus of the enormous health benefits
in every cup!
The Cozy Tea
Cart
